The business was initially established by brothers Wayne and Craig Scholz at Pleasant Hills, NSW, in 1995. Their first purchase was a 1979 Kenworth K125 and a 1984 McGrath flat top trailer.

Today the company is owned and managed by Craig and Sharee Scholz and has since relocated to a base in Albury/Wodonga, NSW. Craig's passion for trucks and business is still very much alive and within recent years, has grown the company to seven Kenworth Prime Movers and eleven trailers, consisting of a combination of Single and B-Double bulk tippers, a drop-deck, a flat top and a skel trailer. Also, the company offers a large bulk storage facility which consists of a 8000 tonne bulk shed which is located at the Scholz family farm at Pleasant Hills. Scholz Bulk Haulage Pty Ltd travels the local and wider community, along with local farmers, to fill this facility at harvest time for direct buyers within the Melbourne region purchasing the grain at this time. This allows for much quicker turn around for delivery and longer hours of operation, hence allowing the farmers to move more grain daily.
